Sports Leaders

32 children from Year 5 and Year 6 have had the opportunity to be a sports leader at lunchtime.  The children have been trained to lead different sporting activities with children from Year 1 to Year 6.  Some of the activities include dodgeball, football, tennis, hockey, target shooting, parachute games, multi-skills, team games and traditional playground games including ‘What time is it Mr Wolf?” and skipping.  The sports leaders provide the children with opportunities to try new sports, develop communication and collaboration; co-operation and teamwork; build confidence and help children to stay healthy at lunchtime.  It also provides children to lead the learning of others at lunchtime.
