If your child is entitled to free school meals (based on the parent’s entitlement to benefits), from 4/5/20 these will be provided by Edenred. You will receive them by email if we hold an email address for you; otherwise we will send them in the post.

Please see the link below for more details

Roundthorn is open or planning to open for the following groups:

  • Children of keyworkers and vulnerable children from June 2nd onwards (Mon-Fri)
  • Children in Y6 from 8th June onwards (Mon-Thurs)
  • Children in Y1 June 17th tbc (Mon-Thurs)
  • Other priority year groups tbc

We have sent information about these places via text message. If you haven’t received this and would like more information please contact the school office by telephone or email. Under the current Covid-19 situation, we can only accept more children by prior arrangement and in line with our plans. Children are placed into small groups or ‘bubbles.’  Please do not just ‘turn up’ with your child as we will not be able to take them.

Staff are continuing to make phone calls (number may be ‘withheld’ or end in ‘0000’) and provide online learning for all year groups (INSERT LINK or ‘link below) and paper packs where requested. Please contact school if you need any help with these.

Roundthorn Primary Academy is a popular and well-respected school, part of Focus Trust. We are a vibrant and inclusive community that ensures that every child is placed at the centre of every learning experience, and where we put great emphasis on achieving the highest standards possible.

We do this by offering a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum based on challenge, questioning and investigation that captures the children’s imagination, natural curiosity and desire to learn.

Children and their futures are at the heart of our thinking and decision-making. We believe that by teaching children to work in teams, to think critically and to constantly improve we will equip them to be life-long learners and to be strong members of their communities.

Our website will give you lots of useful information and our social media posts provide a ‘flavour’ of what we are doing. However, a visit to the academy will tell you much more about us. We look forward to welcoming you if are able to do this.
