RoundthornVolunteering and Training / Work Experience
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Roundthorn or completing work experience with us. We have many requests for work experience and voluntary training opportunities each year, a reflection on our high standing in the community. Whilst we want to support people in education and training we can only support a limited number each term. Please read the following information before applying for a place:
Teacher Training
We work with the East Manchester Teaching School Hub and are unable to accept request for placements for other teaching schools or universities for initial teacher training.Link here: EMTSH
School Work Experience
We work with Saddleworth School and Positive Steps and accept a small number of placements each year for Y10 students. We are therefore unable to accept other requests.
Teaching Assistant (L1 and L2) Courses
We will consider applications but only have a small number of opportunities. Please contact the school office for a placement request form or download the form below and return it for consideration.
Other volunteering opportunities
We recognise that many people have skills and services that they could offer on a voluntary basis and will consider any offers and requests. Please email the school account, roundthorn@focus-trust.co.uk
